Aix - a wonderful city in the south of France. I’ve just spend wo weeks in the south of France for my school internship. This gave me the opportunity to discover Provençal cuisine and the beautiful town of Aix-en-Provence.
In this blog, I share with you my experiences and adventures in Provence.
When you visit Aix, you can immediately admire the old town Center with its ochre stone buildings contrasting with the deepl blue sky. The many squares are sublime, with breathtaking fountains and magnificent colours.
The highlight, of course, is the daily market on Place Richelme, offering all kinds of fruit, vegetables and local produce. You can admire the quality and freshness of the produce, which bears no relation to food from the supermarket.
The atmosphere is also striking compared to other cities. The locals all seem courteous and there is a family atmosphere everywhere in the city.
This is also lived out during the cooking courses. New bonds are made in a familiar environment, where everyone finds something to their liking. At the same time, you get a taste of Provençal cuisine and take away healthy recipes for later.
