Why do I like to take a cooking class?

Emmanuelle Leki

1. Because I love to cook!

Of course... That's a bit obvious, you might say... but it's worth pointing out anyway.

I know that when we love something we can spend a lot of time on it, we think about it a lot.

It does us good, it relaxes us. That's how I feel when I'm in the kitchen. I take pleasure in seasoning, assembling, cutting, peeling, being creative and adaptable... in these moments I'm in my place and I feel good.

I also know that some people don't like cooking at all. And I understand that. No interest in cooking, no desire to devote time to it, no attraction for blending flavors. And we tell ourselves we're no good at it....

...My cooking classes are for everyone! Especially those of you who have little interest in cooking! I'll be delighted to share my passion for cooking with you.

I'll show you that cooking is fun, easy and joyful!

2. Because I love to learn!

That's obvious too, but it's worth pointing out.

Through a cooking class, you learn a lot about other people, other kitchens, other cultures, other participants. And you learn by doing! It's so much more effective than books.

Cooking classes are also an opportunity to learn more about yourself. While you're cooking, your mind wanders, you talk, you let yourself go, you can confide in someone.

I'd like to add that I also like to pass on my knowledge, which is why I love giving cooking lessons as much as taking them myself.

3. Because I love sharing!

For me, cooking classes are above all moments of sharing and conviviality.

Whether it's with friends, family or even strangers, these workshops have always made it easy for me to bond, because we experience an adventure together.

There's nothing like sharing a laugh while trying to master a pastry fold or tasting together the dishes we've carefully prepared. For me, cooking classes are much more than a simple activity, they're moments of complicity where memories are created around the table.

That's why I like to take a cooking class.
